Weekend Plans 4/5 – 4/7

I am happy to say that the first week of April is off to a great start! I was able to make a big dent in some upcoming projects, spend time with good friends, and enjoy the first of many spring rain showers. Also, I was featured in the Company Magazine Weekly Edit app this week! So exciting!

Here’s what I have planned this weekend…

– I am going to try making a homemade pizza tonight! Hopefully the dough will come together. Have you ever made homemade pizza dough?

– A few Dean Martin records are the perfect pizza-making playlist, right? 😉

– Hopefully I can finish up my latest attempt at journal embroidery.

– I have some other crochet projects to work on and the last round of my granny square blanket to finish. I still need to figure out a way to take pictures of this giant blanket. I like your ideas of using a fence or clothesline.

I hope you are having a happy Friday! Thank you for sharing the books you are reading on my last post. I have so many new books on my “must read” list!

What are your plans for the weekend?

  1. Caffy Bundy says:

Oooooh! What recipe are you using?

    Can I just recommend:

    Tomato Sauce:

I make double and freeze it, lasts the month… sometimes after work or post sewing/ knitting… all you want is pizza!

  2. Helen says:

Love making pizza, I don’t have any recipes to share however as my brother worked in a pizza shop all the way through high school so he’s always made the dough
I’m off to do some urban exploring with a friend this weekend, we’re taking our cameras for a walk along a canal into industrial back waters

  3. Gemma Atwell says:

Yay on the feature :) and good choice of pizza making music.
Sounds like you’re going to have a great weekend, I however will probably be trying desperately to keep warm in my studio. Hohum.

  5. Sounds like a fun weekend! I used to make homemade pizza dough all the time, but it’s been a while. Maybe I can get some in this weekend!

  6. Sally Young says:

Making homemade pizza is one of my favourite things to do! I recently wrote a post about how easy it is using the Pioneer Womans recipe:

I use a different topping (although her’s looks sooo good!) but the dough is easy peasy to make – four ingredients and it works like a charm every time! It’s enough for two large, hungry adult sized pizzas but I tend to use half for the pizza and stick the rest in the fridge for dinner rolls or naan type breads with a curry or even a chili! Try it you won’t be disappointed!!

    Have a lovely weekend!

  7. LeeLee says:

Props on attempting to make homemade pizza. I definitely need more pratice.

  8. The husband used to own a pizza kitchen. We LOVE pizza and love making it. I usually make the dough while he is in charge of everything else.

  9. Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend.
I can’t seem to stop daydreaming about your journal.

  10. Dean Martin is the perfect playlist for Pizza making :) And knitting! Share how the pizza turned out :) Homemade foods taste so much better than store bought!

    Happy Friday!

  20. Helen says:

I have never made pizza myself, I know several people that do and it always tastes so much better than delivery pizza. I can’t believe you have Dean Martin music. I grew up with that…how wonderful. And your needle arts are always a hit with me. I so enjoy your presentation. Your blog is a treat each time I read it. Thank youo

  21. Hope says:

  22. Sarah Grace says:

I love making pizza! I actually make a large batch of dough at one time and split it into pieces to freeze for later. I recommend using bread flour and to do a cold overnight rise in the fridge. I’ve put leftover pesto sauce in the dough before and I also like to add herbs and seasonings to it once in a while.
