Weekend Plans 3/29 – 3/31

Happy Friday friends!

Another busy week has come and gone. I am so excited to enjoy the long Easter weekend with my family! First things first, I need to get rid of the headache that is conveniently located above my left eye. Once the annoying pain goes away, I am ready for pastel candies, knitting, working on deadlines, spending time with family, and, most importantly, celebrating Easter. Here’s what I have planned…

– As of yesterday evening I am officially obsessed with the video series called The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I am a bit late to the party because on the same day that I start watching and become completely addicted, the final episode airs.  I can already tell I won’t want it to end! The series is a modern adaptation of Pride & Prejudice and centers around Lizzie Bennet’s video diary. It is so great.

– My double seed stitch scarf is getting longer and longer. I didn’t really know what it was going to be when I started (you know, stress knitting…) but I think it will be a nice chunky cowl for the fall. Also, I am still scouting photo locations for my finished granny blanket. I can’t wait to share the finished photos! It was such a fun project.

– I need to work on deadlines coming up in the next few weeks and new projects that are getting started. All good things though! :)

– I can’t wait to make Easter brunch with my mom. Not with plastic eggs of course…

– What is your favorite Easter candy? I already opened some sour gummy eggs to kick off the weekend.

– A set of pastel notebooks for more writing and planning ideas. I think I will use one for paper embroidery projects!

– This pretty white sparkle nail polish caught my eye on Pinterest. It is the perfect, spring polish!

That’s about it! If you celebrate, Happy Easter to you! I hope you all have a great weekend. What do you have planned?

MK Wiles (who pays Lydia on LBD) is my friend from college! I’m so happy you like that show :)

Also, your double seed stitch is gorgeous – how pretty would a granny-square blanket be interspersed with some solid squares like that?? Maybe I’ll try that soon with extra yarn I have around.

  2. Esther says:

I can’t wait to check out the lizzie bennet diares. I have never heard of it before. Looking forward to seeing your finished blanket! Happy Easter weekend, Merideth! xo

  9. What a beautiful grey you’re using for the scarf. I love it!
I recall catching a LBD episode randomly and loving it, only to not stumble on it again.
Here in the states, sometimes our PBS station will air just a few episodes of a series.
Thank you for reminding me to find it.

LBD sounds right up my street – I’m clearly even later to the party as I haven’t even heard of it … Maybe it’s not airing in the uk, I have to go find out more about it …

This weekend we have lots of kiddo activities planned, mainly based around chocolate! But in between I have to hook up a collar for a friend of mine, she spied my post but can’t crochet so begged me to speedily make one for her daughter’s birthday on Monday!

I hope your headache improves, I’m a fellow headache sufferer so I really sympathise.

Have a lovely Easter, Em xxx

  13. Plain Jane says:

I’ve never heard of the LBD but as a big fan of Pride and Prejudice I think I’m going to have to look it up! Your scarf is looking fab – you’d need it over here in the UK at the moment as it’s been freeeeeeezing x Jane

  14. Happy Easter Meredith! Have you seen the British programme Lost in Austen? I got a little addicted about 5 years ago, I reckon you’d love it if you can find it. Netflix might have it. Have a great weekend :) x

I love the LBD! They’re making another series, kind of a sequel, called Welcome to Sanditon. And another full series in the fall :)

It can also manifest itself with scaly plaques on the scalp.
However, you can almost be certain your baby’s skin will develop a rash before
the age of 1. It’s an X-linked dominantly inherited condition caused by mutations in a gene known as
