Fall Weather + Weekend Plans

When I stepped outside this morning a cool burst of air met me at the door and brought a smile to my face. There is nothing like a cloudy and chilly day to brighten my spirits after a long week. Even though the first official day of fall is still a few weeks away, it’s nice to know that a little cool weather decided to make its way to Texas earlier this year. I feel like I can think better when the temperature drops. If the stuffy heat of the summer is draining, the cool breeze of fall is rejuvenating.

I’ve already checked off a few of my plans for this wonderfully brisk weekend:

-Enjoy warm drinks in real mugs on a coffee shop patio.
-Take a walk around the neighborhood, camera in tow, and capture the first signs of fall.
-Work on a new crochet project.
-Catch up on a few shows on Netflix.

-Brew a pot of tea in my new kettle.
-Bake something! Possibly pumpkin bread? Although…this pumpkin donut recipe is quite tempting.

I hope you all had a great week! What are your plans for the weekend? Has fall (or spring!) arrived at your doorstep yet?

P.S. – Thank you so much for entering the UP paper embroidery giveaway! I will announce the winner over the weekend.

  3. Lesley says:

It’s so funny to me that Texas would get cooler. I always assume it’s like 100 degrees all year round. lol Drinking hot drinks in the cool air on a patio is the best! x

    • meredith says:

Haha! Sometimes I think the 100 degree temperatures will never go away…but it actually gets pretty cold here in the winter. Thankfully! 😉 More time for hot drinks on the patio!

  4. Erica says:

There is definitely a coolness to the air here. Not quite cool enough for tights are scarves just yet, but it’s coming… :)

  5. Winnie says:

Oh one of my favourite things are clear blue-sky mornings with that chilly breeze. There is something really nice about the sun on your face but also being all wrapped up and warm in layers! Better still when you can catch up with friends in the warm over some hot drinks – those hot drinks look really delicious!

In Mexico seasons come & go unnoticed. I wish I could experience real fall. My plans for this fall are enrolling in yoga classes, teach myself how to knit & crochet & starting a book binding business with one of my best friends, but everything is being held back because I got a terrible kidney infection.
As soon as I’m recovered I am going to start a ‘paleo diet’ challenge to detox my body.

Hope you had an amzing weekend.

However, consider this, suppose you added a little content?

I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your blog, but
what if you added a headline to possibly get folk’s attention?
I mean One Sheepish Girl | Fall Weather + Weekend Plans is kinda boring.
You might glance at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create
news headlines to get viewers to click. You might try adding a
video or a related pic or two to get people interested about
everything’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it would make your posts a
    little bit more interesting.
